WSRA
Wheelchair Sports and Recreation Association, Inc. also known as WSRA, is a Non-Profit Organization founded by Charles and Danielle Ekizian.
In 1989 Charles and Danielle Ekizian wanted to formalize their work in the use of recreational and sports activities among the newly disabled as catalysts for regaining active, invigorating lifestyles.
The primary objective of WSRA is to enhance the rehabilitation of people with spinal cord injuries or other disabilities. Charlie now focuses on consulting with the media and organizations that strive to improve the lives of, and utilize the skills of, mobility-impaired people.
The Massachusetts office of WSRA introduces people with spinal cord injuries or other similarly disabling conditions to a stimulating recreational environment as soon as possible after hospitalization or primary rehabilitation, and involves them in life, sports and recreation - whether individually, through WSRA or through other organizations.
WSRA is an exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3)of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to WSRA are tax deductible.
